Exploring the Tobacco Endgame – Implications for Behavioral Health
Original Air Date: March 7, 2023 @ 2 – 3pm ET
With more than 40 million people using commercial tobacco products in the United States, tobacco remains the number one preventable cause of disease, disability and death. People with mental health and/or substance use (MH/SU) challenges consume up to 40% of tobacco products and experience tobacco-related disparities, making them a priority population to consider when strategizing the tobacco endgame.
Join the National Behavioral Health Network for Tobacco and Cancer Control at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing on March 7, 2-3 p.m. ET to increase your understanding of tobacco endgame and its importance in ensuring optimal health outcomes for people with MH/SU challenges.
