Featuring Neal L. Benowitz, MD, Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, presenting on this important and timely topic.
Webinar Objectives:
- Describe major safety concerns for nicotine, independent of combusted tobacco
- Identify nicotine levels and pharmacokinetics from various tobacco products, and implications for addiction and disease risk
- Explain potential effects of nicotine on the developing fetal and adolescent brains
- Describe cardiovascular and respiratory concerns from nicotine with use of electronic nicotine delivery devices.
